Ah Heard

LL Cool J was on American Idol last night, and NOW ah really believe de 'L's in his name--he IS lovable. He actually brought out Simon's sensitive side, an' had Simon offerin' to hug rejected contestants. Who'da thunk it? However, when ah really consider LL's career, it just made sense. He was always more than just a pretty face. LL's wholesome, but still edgier than Will Smith--a tough balance to strike. (We could forgive him de "Pass da Ol' Gold" line in his comeback rap that said "Don't call it a comeback!" Also, we could forgive him de drug Kingpin role he played in "In Too Deep"--hey reality's reality.) He's remained true ta himself for da most part, even at his most mass appealin' (rememba EPMD, Jdid?)
LL is settin' an example for people ov all ages--which is so fragile, 'cause so many would want to adopt him as an ABSOLUTE role model, an' then get suicidal if LL falls from grace. Yeah, we gotta rememba that he's only human, but still de fact is, he seems like such a good person. On American Idol, he far exceeded everyone's expectations in de love that he showed EVERY contestant--good an' bad. He's a family man, an' a likeable individual, so ah just had to add him to mi Blog. True ta himself, he's showin' that it can be done.
Today, ah heard about a hurricane rippin' through Bermuda--rough enough to close down all but de most essential gov't services. De hope is that de hurricane's effects will be far less severe than we've been witnessin' in recent times in other places. Heard it's still pretty bad, an' ah gotta verify that. If 2005 isn't a wake-up call to almost every region of God's green earth, then people, I don't know what is! Have a great day!

Hey, Scratchie, Sunshine, Kami, Jdid, hope you're all havin' a good Friday (not like Good Friday.:-). Kami & Jdid, ah just rememba LL's sitcom, "In Da House." It had that cute round-da-way girl Maya Campbell in it. She's since disappeared!

melody, she aint really disappear. she's in a lot of those straight to video B movies, seems like she turned hoochie-ish lately though. definetly not what I expected of her.

I'm not shocked, Jdid. No one ever thought Rudy Huxtable'd go viddeho, but once SHE went videoochie, not many surprises were left.

What did Rudy do?

She's now doin' de half-naked dances that video girls do in rap videos, Kami, an' it's sooo out ov character for her since she's always been typecast in de Cosby role.

Hurri...wah? Listen me yaw. I don't need to hear the name! Thanks for the information though, I hadn't heard.

Rudi doing half naked videos now? Hmm. Mel, it may seem so contradictory to the role she played in Cosby as a child indeed, but bear in mind, her role in the show was merely acting. No indication of the real person she was....though at the time a pretty innocent seeming child. As an adult now, remember she is in the business of showbiz, and wants to mek money. Mucsic videos do attract a high viewership....(anybody in popular music nowadays can mek a track without a video with a bed scene and expect the song going popular?)....sure she could've gone into acting....but for some of us, what we become as an adult is not necessarily shaped by what we did as pickneys. Not sure if I'm making any sense, so betta me jus shut up and wish you a nice weekend. Chupsie. Dr. D.

Doc, maybe she tryin' to break free ov de good-girl image an' get an edge, to try an' get grown-up roles, but man, she goin' 'bout it de wrong way. Then maybe she enjoy bein' a videooch, 'cause like yu said, de Cosby daughter was just a role. Still, there's some-fing about her that says she's about more than that, soh hopefully drugs not impairin' her judgement an' it's just youthful exuberance!! Have a nice weekend too!
