Bein' Joyous at Others' Good Fortune
IMHO, this is generally not difficult: bein' joyous at others' good fortune. What if de person in question is Hitler Foley Amin? Understandably, mi opinion would change -- no joy for them. It's about justice & fairness. Ah found out someone recently tried to block mi blessings. They say "friendship" so easily, but feel no joy when their "friend" enjoys an achievement. Mi noh like smutty-mind people, yu know. Worse, de ally from church glosses over de smutty-mindedness by sayin, "It's just a Jamaican poor-people trait, a survival skill, so even after life improves the attitude still obtains." Whatever. Dem better don't come back come lean pon my fence, 'cause a macca dem woulda lean pon.

It's the worst when the people who call themself friends turn out to be less than. I've experienced that so many times that I keep my distance. I have very few friends now.
i wont say is no poor people business i think that attiude exists regardless of social standing.
the way i see it though is if ya friends jeolous they aint real friends so dash dem way!
Hello Melody. I have seen your comments on many blogs. You have excellent turn of phrase. Always a standout.
I'm not really into friends. I keep a close few.
Disappointing isn't it, when a friend turns out to be nothing more than an hypocrite?
I just move right along with no feelings of guilt when friends turn out to be less than. I have few friends but they are worth their weight in gold
People like those are just wolves in sheep's clothing, not true friends. I have no problem cutting them off.
Leon, maybe you and I should hook up then.
CD & Leon, sounds like U guys have a fine friendship in de makin'.
Jdid, U're on point: that attitude exists everywhere -- poor people get blamed 4 every-ting.
Island Spice, am much obliged. Nice 2 meet U.
Gela, it's not just disappointin', but also wastin' what coulda been some luvly mutually supportive years.
Kami, guilt isn't even an option -- I've stopped tryin' 2 B all tings 2 all people. As a fellow survivor, U prob'ly know just what ah mean.
Stunner, that's exactly what this post was about.
Completely not on topic with your post but...Not only can she sing, she blew Krazy compleletely out of the water. The best part is that she really didn't want to sing FLav made her then she did a great job and the whole time Krazy was giving her the evil eye. That should have been in the regular season episodes
